The RBC Canadian Open is the second-oldest non-major on the PGA Tour schedule behind the BMW Championship. This event is one of four PGA Tour events that are part of the Open qualifying series. The top three players not otherwise exempt who make the cut will earn a spot in the field at The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

This week is also the last time players can earn a spot in the U.S. Open next week. The top 60 players in the Official World Golf Rankings following this week’s event, not otherwise exempt, will earn a spot in the U.S. Open field.

In last year’s RBC Canadian Open, Ryan Fox earned the win by defeating Sam Burns on the fourth playoff hole. It was Fox’s second win of the 2025 PGA Tour season.

About TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course)

The North Course at TPC Toronto plays 7,389 yards as a par 70. This is the second straight year the event will be played at this course; it will also host the 2027 event.

Thorbjørn Olesen and Cristóbal Del Solar share the course record of 61 (-9) after each shot that during the opening round of last year’s event. The par-3 14th hole is the “Rink Hole,” which turns the hole into a hockey-themed fan zone.

Who to Watch at the 2026 RBC Canadian Open

Four players inside the top 10 in the world will highlight a strong field. Fox will join four other past champions of this event in the field. One of those is the last Canadian winner of this event, Nick Taylor; he is one of 21 Canadian players in the field.

We predict Wyndham Clark will pick up his second win of the season. He won the 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson and last week finished third at last week’s Memorial Tournament
