The Ladies European Tour returns after a two-week break for the 2026 La Sella Open. The tournament will be held at La Sella Golf Resort in Denia, Alicante, Spain.
Defending Champion Anna Huang is not in the field this week due to medical reasons.
La Sella Golf Resort is a par 72 playing 6,175 yards. The La Sella Open differs from other tournaments with no Pro-Am during the week and no sponsor backdrops on the course. The purse for the 2026 La Sella Open is €1 million.
Who to Watch at the 2026 La Sella Open
Casandra Alexander, currently in first place in the LET’s Order of Merit, is in the field this week looking for her second win of the season, the first being in her last start at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. Alexander has five runner-up finishes to go with her only win. She described her mindset going into the week as the favorite.
“The goal is always to win, but that’s not always in our control. If I can put together four red numbers, then I’ll be quite happy and see where that gets me,” she said.
Shannon Tan is in the field after winning the LET Player of the Month award for July and August. After a tie for sixth at the AIG Women’s Open, the 2025 Order of Merit winner continued her solid play with a solo third place in the PIF London Championship and a tie for sixth in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
“It was always going to be hard to follow up my Order of Merit victory last year, but I’m very happy to have rediscovered some of my best form this summer and hopefully it’s coming at just the right time heading into La Sella Open,” she said.
Carmen Alonso announced the 2026 La Sella Open will be her last event on the Ladies European Tour. In her 22-year-old career, she has five wins across multiple tours and 287 starts on the Ladies European Tour.
