Casandra Alexander won the 2026 Wistron Ladies Open to officially close out the race for the 2026 Ladies European Tour Order of Merit title.
Going into the final round, Chinese Taipei’s Ching Huang led Alexander by one shot. Huang led England’s Hannah Screen by two shots and Mimi Rhodes by three. After Huang stumbled with a bogey on hole three, Alexander seized the opportunity to take the lead. Alexander never looked back, shooting a bogey-free round of 64 (-8). She defeated Screen by three shots to win her third event in three months. Alexander earned $161,373.60 in prize money.
“That was pretty spectacular; that’s the most comfortable I have felt in a final round,” said Alexander. “Doug (Alexander’s caddie) and I did unbelievable work at decision-making,” she said.
After finishing runner-up five times, Alexander won the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Buccellati Ladies Italian Open and the Wistron Ladies Open. Alexander has been the best player on the Ladies European Tour this season, and she won the Order of Merit with two events left to play.
“I’m really happy to win the Order of Merit now. Going into today’s round, I knew I didn’t have to win, and I wanted to make that clear to myself that I didn’t have to, but I really wanted to.”
Screen’s finish as runner-up is her best finish on the Ladies European Tour. She has 10 career finishes inside the top 10 without a win. Last year’s winner Yani Tseng shot a 65 (-7) to finish T20.
The LET will conclude its Asian swing next week at the Aramco China Championship at Mission Hills China. Ruixin Liu is the 2025 champion.
