The Ladies European Tour continues its Asian swing this week at the 2026 Wistron Ladies Open. The tournament will be held at Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Chinese Taipei. The 2026 Wistron Ladies Open is co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and the TLPGA (LPGA of Taiwan). The format is a 72-hole tournament with a cut.
Yani Tseng is in the field to defend her title after her four-shot victory last year. It was a momentous return to golf for Tseng, who had waited 4,306 days for that victory.
Sunrise Golf and Country Club is a par-72 course playing 6,342 yards. The golf course was built in 1988 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The purse for the 2026 Wistron Ladies Open is $1,200,00 USD.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Wistron Ladies Open
After winning the 2025 Wistron Ladies Open in her home country, Tseng has only played in five events on the Ladies European Tour this season. Her best finish was third at the Aramco Korea Championship earlier this month.
“I’m just very happy to be back playing in front of the home crowd again, and after last year, I just feel very grateful. I look back, and I’m very grateful that I am still able to play golf and am still able to be with all the best players in the world,” she said.
Mimi Rhodes, who won three events on the LET last season, is in the field this week. Rhodes joined the LPGA Tour at the beginning of the season and has struggled, though she made quite an impression at the Solheim Cup. She currently sits at No. 104 in the Race to CME Globe rankings. Her best finish on the LPGA Tour is T6 at the Ford Championship in March.
Casandra Alexander looks to finish the season in first early after leading the LET’s Order of Merit by 1,270.78 points. A margin of more than 1,000 points after the Wistron Ladies Open would secure Alexander the 2026 LET Order of Merit, with two events left on the schedule.
