The 2026 TOUR Championship marks the 20th consecutive year as the FedExCup playoff finale. For the second year in a row, all players will start the event at even par, providing each qualifier with an equal opportunity to win the FedExCup. The winner of the FedExCup will receive $10 million of the $40 million purse.
From 2019 to 2024, the tournament used a starting strokes format to ensure the winner of the tournament would also be the winner of the FedEx Cup. That meant the player’s position on the FedExCup points list determined how many strokes he would start with.
In the 2025 TOUR Championship, Tommy Fleetwood won on the PGA Tour for the first time in his 164th career start.
“I think the story that I built throughout the summer and I was getting closer and closer, it was kind of a perfect storm up until this point that came to this, and it was a perfect way to finish,” Fleetwood said.

East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga., plays 7,440 yards as a par 70 and has hosted the TOUR Championship since 2005. East Lake is the oldest golf course in Atlanta; the 1963 Ryder Cup and 2001 U.S. Amateur Championship were also held at East Lake.
The course record is held by Zach Johnson, who shot 60 (-10) during the 2007 TOUR Championship.
Who to Watch at the 2026 TOUR Championship
The top 30 golfers in the FedExCup standings are competing for the FedExCup. Scottie Scheffler is ranked No.1 in the FedExCup standings entering the TOUR Championship for the fifth year in a row.
We predict Collin Morikawa will win the 2026 FedExCup. He finished T4 last week at the BMW Championship and has three top-10 finishes in his career at East Lake.
