Wyndham Clark birdied the final three holes Sunday at the BMW Championship, winning for the third time this season. His other two wins were the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and the 126th U.S. Open Championship.
Clark held at least a share of the lead after each round at Bellerive Country Club and won by three shots over Patrick Cantlay and by four over Rory McIlroy. When holding a 54-hole lead or co-lead, Clark has won four of five times. This is his sixth career victory in his 210th career start on the PGA Tour, and he became the first player since Dustin Johnson (2016) to win the U.S. Open and BMW Championship in the same season.
Three golfers now have three wins on tour this season: Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick and Chris Gotterup.
“Three wins in one season is my best year yet. Coming off my worst year ever, I’m just really pleased where I’m at right now,” Clark said.
Cantlay, Gary Woodland (T4) and Robert MacIntyre (T7) all moved into the top 30 of the FedExCup standings to advance to the TOUR Championship. As those three moved in, Kurt Kitayama (T26), Rickie Fowler (T37) and Bud Cauley (T44) moved out of the top 30 and their seasons are over.
The six automatic qualifiers for the 2026 U.S. Presidents Cup team were set with Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa making up half of Captain Brandt Snedeker’s team. The six captain’s picks will be announced next week after the TOUR Championship.
The final stop of the FedExCup playoffs is the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Tommy Fleetwood is the defending champion after earning his first career PGA Tour win at this event last year.
