Michael Brennan is building quite the track record for himself. After earning his third PGA Tour title this week at the 2026 Baycurrent Classic, Brennan is now three-for-three in converting a 54-hole lead or co-lead to a win. He also becomes the youngest player to win this event at just shy of 25 years old, replacing Morikawa in the record books from 2023.

Defending champion Xander Schauffele fell three shots short of Brennan, tying with Brian Harmon. Schauffele had a chance to win but ended up double bogeying the final hole thanks to an errant tee shot.

Keith Mitchell made a run for the trophy as well, leading after 36 holes, but he and Jacob Bridgeman finished in a tie for second, one stroke back of Brennan. This is Mitchell’s best finish of the season, and Bridgeman made the most birdies in the field (23).

Brennan was locked in a duel with Bridgeman throughout the day, but steady playing and pars during the last part of the round kept him in the lead. This is his third win in 33 starts and his second this season (Wyndham Championship).

According to ESPN, Brennan said, “I just think you can get more comfortable in those situations. I was very nervous today, especially coming down the stretch. Jacob and I had a great battle. He played really great coming down, and that was really fun. We played a lot of golf in college together.”

The PGA Tour takes a week off before heading to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where Adam Schenk won last year.
