The Draw: Korda Going for Third Major, New PGA Tour Format

The Draw is a golf tour news podcast by Fairway to Green writers Nathan Rarick and Brian Koefoot.

In this episode of The Draw, hosts Brian and Nathan preview the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship — the third LPGA major of the season — at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. Nelly Korda is chasing her third straight major after the Chevron Championship and the U.S. Women’s Open this year.

They also recap last week’s events. On the LPGA Tour, Miyu Yamashita entered into a playoff at the Meijer LPGA Classic when Lottie Woad’s 3-foot par putt lipped out; Yamashita then won with a 3-footer of her own on the first extra hole.

On the Ladies European Tour, Aunchisa Utama’s won a playoff of her own at the Dutch Ladies Open for her first professional win.

On the PGA Tour, Wyndham Clark held on at Shinnecock Hills to win his second U.S. Open. The hosts dig into his antics and the hostile reception, since many of the fans in New York were rooting for anyone but him.

Lastly, the hosts preview the Italian Open, the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open and The Travelers Championship before discussing the newly announced PGA Tour schedule and setup.
